Captain Marvel

Featured Movie review

Catching up on the latest Marvel movie in the series, I went and saw Captain Marvel over the weekend.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, not because it’s a female lead and not because there’s anything wrong with Captain Marvel. I wasn’t sure what to expect because it was introducing a character that had yet to be seen.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The casting of Brie Larson was perfect. The humor injected was great. The backstory building to make you understand who she was and why was very well done. There was some powerful symbolism in there as well. We don’t stay down.

The fight sequences were well done with the occasional humor popping up here and there.

The story arc takes you on a good up and down not knowing who to trust.

The effects and de-aging of Fury and Agent Coulson was expertly pulled off. You even get some back story for Fury and his eye…

I recommend you see this and get caught up before Avengers: Endgame comes out next month.
